Delaney had her first dance class on Wednesday and let me just say, it was the absolute cutest thing I have ever seen! Plus, her teacher is completely amazing! She missed the first class while we were on vacation, so we missed the information on attire requirements (leotard and tights colors, shoes, etc.), but we got that taken care of yesterday while Riley was at school :)
She is in a “Creative Movement” class, which basically means ballet and tap. It is supposed to be for 3-5 year olds but they offered to make an exception if she proved she could handle it. After class, they told me she is a true “bun head” and they don’t have any concerns about her continuing for the entire year! They used the term bun head to refer to her because she is very focused on the dancing and listens to everything she is told to do. Most of the kids get sidetracked easily and go off doing their own thing but Delaney remains focused on the task at hand. If she could, she would go to dance class every day!
