Austin - Day 1

Our trip to Austin kicked off bright and early Wednesday morning. After dealing with a bout of food poisoning Tuesday night combined with Riley flying for the first time, I was concerned how the day was going to play out. No worries though, my stomach was settled by the time we got to the airport and Riley did great! The flight attendant who spoke over the loud speaker on the first leg of the flight was a little loud and scared Riley a bit, but as long as she was not talking he was fine. We had a short layover in Las Vegas. The three of us ate lunch, Riley stretched and played for a bit, and then it was back on the plane. Las Vegas to Austin was a cinch! Riley acted like he was a pro at flying, and even slept through the take off and landing!
Missy and Avery were waiting for us when we got off the plane. Riley was infatuated with Avery right off the bat. She was very helpful and great with him the entire trip! She is going to be an amazing big sister! When Kyle got home, we headed to Maudie's for dinner. Dan and I thought it would be nice to dine on the patio. That is when we were introduced to humidity combined with Texas heat!
