Haircuts with SeongE; Beau’s basketball game; dinner at BJ’s Brewhouse with Ilene; Nevada Discovery Museum with Brian, Brayden, Nana & Cole; lunch at In & Out; massage with Molly; shopping at Carter’s & Osh Kosh (twice!); pictures with Jea; Spiderman birthday party at Aunt Lisa & Uncle Jeff’s; Pizza Plus; sleepover at Uncle David & Aunt Kristy’s; ski lessons at Diamond Peak; dinner at Johnny’s Ristorante!! The kids & I had a very busy few days in Reno!!
Nevada Discovery Museum – Located in the old City Hall building in downtown Reno, this fun new kid’s museum opened in December & teaches kids all things Nevada! Delaney & Brayden’s favorite was Truckee Connects, an 80 foot long working model of the Truckee River! Riley & Cole could not get enough of Cloud Climber, a three story tall climbing structure!
Spiderman Birthday Party – Since our trip was so short, Aunt Lisa & Uncle Jeff hosted a get together at their house so we could see everyone in one shot. It was quickly dubbed Riley’s Reno Birthday, which even included a bounce house! Aunt Lisa’s decorations were amazing!!
Diamond Peak – A few days before our trip, I got my mind set that I wanted the kids to do a ski lesson while we were there. I arranged for an old coworker from Mt. Rose to do private lessons with each of the kids, but she had to cancel last minute because of the flu. So we took the kids to Rose for lessons through Rosebuds, but they didn’t have instructors available. I was ready to call it good at that point and not worry about it, but Riley was so disappointed he didn’t get to ski. So we headed ten miles up the road to Diamond Peak to see what they had available. Thankfully, Riley ended up with a 90 minute private lesson. Unfortunately Delaney was too young for their program, so she had to settle for playing in the snow.
We saw a lot of people and did a lot of things! There were more people we would have loved to have seen and more things we wanted to do, but it was a quick trip! We greatly enjoyed our time with all the people and things we were able to see and do!!
