Our Last Week

We had been preparing for the move as much as we could, but when they gave us the actual move date, it was just over a week away! We spent our last week in Reno dealing with a bunch of craziness, but thankfully, we were also able to see some family and friends! Here are some of the highlights…

Monday 4/6

It was Dan’s first day working in the Reno office in over four weeks. He arrived to a big surprise, he had been Biebered by Ilene and crew!Bieber Reno 6.1

Tuesday 4/5

Brian came over to visit and deliver a gift his mom had made for the kids, a blanket with a map of the United States! Riley has not let it out of his sight since! During the day he has Lightning McQueen drive to California for the big race (the blanket sometimes get laid out backwards), and he sleeps with it at night!Riley 1.1

Wednesday 4/6

It was a routine Wednesday with swim lessons for the kids.

Dan had a farewell golf outing with the guys after work.

Thursday 4/7

The Tiernan family hosted a play date with us and the Crawford's. We met baby Devyn for the first time and the other seven kids had an absolute blast playing together!

Delaney had an extra swim lesson in the afternoon.

Friday 4/8

The kids and I met Aunt Pat, Kris, Kevin and Trevor for lunch at Mimi’s. It was nice to have a visit before they headed off for vacation!

Three people in CRMT (Dan’s department in Reno) are leaving the department at the same time, so they made it a short work day and had a goodbye event for everyone!

Saturday 4/9

Our new tenants moved into the Tortuga house. Other than that, we were just taking care of business.

Sunday 4/10

Nana and Papa got some available family together for dinner at their house. It was great to be able to spend time with everyone!Dad & Riley 1.1 Mom & Delaney 1.1 Riley, Cole & William 1.1 Riley & Beau 1.1 Delaney 1.1

Monday 4/11

Dan spent the day at home while the movers came to box our stuff.Valliant House 1.1 The kids and I spent the morning at Silver Bear for Riley’s last two swim lessons. We had an awesome time with everyone but I was not prepared how sad we would be about it. We have been going there once a week for almost three years, they have literally watched our kids grow up and are practically like family!Riley & Kate 1.1We spent the afternoon hanging out with Papa.

Tuesday 4/12

Loading day! Our cars were picked up first thing in the morning, then Dan stayed home to deal with the rest of the chaos while the kids and I spent the day at Nana and Papa’s. Valliant House 2.1
