Christmas Eve was busy! We spent a lot of time during the day doing final preparations for the holiday. Basically we made cookies for Santa, prepped meals and finished wrapping.
We went to church, which runs a bit different on Christmas Eve. Riley and Delaney were really excited to be in the same class and even more thrilled when it “snowed” in the mallway on our way out.
We came home for our newest tradition “Family Favorites” dinner. Everyone got to pick their favorite foods and that is what we had! Dan picked teriyaki and fried rice, Riley choose pineapple and kiwi, while Delaney had a very specific request for dessert.
It was getting late, so we ran outside to meet up with Jayme and Elle to put out the reindeer food.
Back inside for dessert. Exactly what Delaney requested, an ice cream birthday cake for Jesus (white cake with gold medal ribbon ice cream), complete with singing “Happy Birthday” and blowing out candles!
Finally it was time for bath, setting out cookies for Santa, story and bed!
