2 1/2 years old!

Riley officially hit the 2 1/2 year mark on September 25th! He is such a joy! He is a wonderful son and big brother! He splits the majority of his time between school, swim lessons, soccer and play dates.

We feel very fortunate to have found him a perfect school setup with an amazing teacher! It has turned out to be one of the best things he has done. There is so much more to school than book learning, it has been especially great to see him make and manage his own relationships with his friends!

He has been going strong with swim lessons for more than two years now. He is a little fish and his swimming ability continues to amaze us! It has gotten even more fun the past few weeks, when Riley moved to a new time slot, it just so happened that I have known the mother of the other little boy in his new class  since I was five years old! We started kindergarten together and went all the way through high school. It is funny to watch our kids having so much fun together!

He took some time off of soccer, but when he started asking about playing again, we enrolled him in a session to play with all of his friends. They have a good time together, but seem to enjoy the bounce house time after soccer more than the actual sport. Oh well. There are only two weeks left, so right now we are contemplating what to have him try next.

He loves play dates! They provide additional time for him to be with his friends. Within the next month or so, one of his buddies is moving within a mile of us. They keep talking about how they are going to get to play “all the time!”

Another big change with this milestone, he is totally into having his picture taken! When Jea came to the house to do some pictures, he was totally posing for her without having to be prompted or bribed!
